Millions of visitors make Yellowstone National Park their vacation destination each year.
Yellowstone National Park welcomes millions of visitors each year. With more than 2 million acres of land, an array of wildlife and breathtaking scenery, it is no wonder it is such a popular spot. For those who enjoy sleeping under the stars, there are 12 camping areas around the park. However, only a portion of them accept reservations. Others are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. For those camping areas that allow reservations, booking a spot is a simple process.
1. Contact Xanterra Parks and Resorts, the company that manages and takes reservations at the Yellowstone campsites of Bridge Bay, Canyon, Fishing Bridge RV Park, Grant Village and Madison. They can be reached at 307-344-7901 for same-day reservations or at 307-344-7311 for later reservations.
2. Select the location you wish to secure a campsite. A trip planner for the park is available on the National Park Service website.
3. Provide a deposit to the Yellowstone representative and secure the campsite. Costs of the sites vary.
